Drogie Doktorantki, Drodzy Doktoranci!

Mamy się czym pochwalić! Jak może pamiętacie, przez ostatnie dwa lata przewijał się w naszej komunikacji temat kart sportowych. Pytaliście co jakiś czas czy i kiedy tego typu program ruszy na UWr i w związku z tym mam dla Was dobrą wiadomość.

Tło całej sprawy

We wcześniejszych latach, dzięki inicjatywie poprzednich Rad Doktorantów i ich Przewodniczących (w czasach wręcz prehistorycznych dla nas jako słuchaczy Szkoły Doktorskiej – tj. w roku 2015), ówczesny Rektor, prof. Marek Bojarski oraz Rafał Mundry, Przewodniczący Samorządu Doktorantów, podpisali umowę z firmą OKSystem na sprzedaż indywidualnych karnetów sportowych dla doktorantów i ich osób towarzyszących na czas nieokreślony. Niestety, umowa została wkrótce rozwiązana przez firmę sprzedającą, ze względu na jej likwidację i sprzedaż tejże firmy i wykupienie jej przez inny podmiot.

Co jakiś czas, doktoranci zwracali się na różne sposoby z pytaniami do Rady Samorządu Doktorantów z pytaniami i prośbą o odnowienie możliwości kupna kart sportowych. Na początku 2023 r., Rada pod przewodnictwem Łukasza Rozwadowskiego rozpoczęła prace nad ponownym zawiązaniem takiej umowy. Stało się to moim głównym i pierwszym poważnym zadaniem po dołączeniu do Rady Doktorantów, które kontynuowałem jako I Wiceprzewodniczący w Radzie Ani Brzostowskiej. Minione dwa lata były bardzo intensywne – spędziliśmy je na pisaniu licznych pism, negocjacjach z firmami zapewniającymi karnety sportowe, na rozeznaniu wśród doktorantów, dyskusjach na Sejmikach oraz podczas spotkań samej Rady, jak również poruszając ten temat z Jego Magnificencją Rektorem prof. Robertem Olkiewiczem. Przedstawione przez nas argumenty, czyli dobrostan doktorantów, ich prośby, a także bardzo niski koszt wprowadzenia tego programu dla Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego w porównaniu do potencjalnych zysków, przyczyniły się do zdobycia poparcia Jego Magnificencji i wejścia na drogę negocjacji warunków ostatecznej umowy, aż wreszcie podpisania jej przez Jego Magnificencję dwa tygodnie temu.

W takim razie czemu akurat Medicover?

Przeprowadziliśmy pełne rozeznanie rynku, skupiając się na dwóch najpopularniejszych ofertach: Multisport i Medicover. Mówiąc w skrócie, Medicover zaoferował lepszą, szerszą ofertę (więcej obiektów we Wrocławiu i w skali całej Polski), korzystniejsze ceny karnetów oraz możliwość elastycznego wyboru spośród różnych pakietów. Co więcej, obecnie zaoferowane pakiety są o wiele atrakcyjniejsze niż np. same karnety na siłownię z najpopularniejszych, największych sieci siłowni we Wrocławiu – nieobejmujące nas karnety dla studentów wynoszą 149 zł miesięcznie – tyle co nasze najdroższe możliwe pakiety Medicovera, a co dopiero karnet normalny w cenie 360 zł miesięcznie – ceny z dnia 04.10.2024 r.

Co po kolei zrobić, żeby się zarejestrować i korzystać?

• Wejdź na stronę: https://medicoversport.pl/pakiety/uniwersytetwroclawski
• Wpisz hasło: UniwersytetwroclawskiMS2024
• Kliknij „Zarejestruj się” u góry po prawej (żółty guzik).
• Ważne! Rejestracja trwa zwykle do 15.dnia dnia każdego miesiąca poprzedzającego – jeśli nie zdążysz się zarejestrować, to kolejna rejestracja będzie od 1. dnia następnego miesiąca (listopada) do 15 listopada i wtedy karnet rozpoczyna się w miesiącu kolejnym (w tym wypadku: grudniu).
• Wybierz pakiet, który Cię interesuje i wypełnij wszystkie okienka proszące o dane (WAŻNE – mail użyty do rejestracji musi być mailem uniwersyteckim – w domenie @uwr.edu.pl – inaczej nie będzie możliwości weryfikacji statusu doktoranta, a tym samym możliwości zakupienia pakietu i uczestniczenia w subskrypcji).
• Jeżeli planujesz dołączyć osobę towarzyszącą (bądź dziecko), to wybierz pakiet, który ją interesuje i wypełnij sekcję dotyczącą jej danych.
• Na samym dole znajduje się guzik „Zapłać”, który przekieruje Cię do strony płatności – przypinasz tam swoją kartę i tym samym rozpoczynasz comiesięczną subskrypcję (i autoryzujesz tym samym Medicover do pobierania określonej kwoty co miesiąc). Cytując stronę: „Minimalny okres abonamentu to 1 miesiąc. Rezygnacji i zmian pakietów można dokonywać tylko w 1. miesiącu trwania abonamentu ze skutkiem na kolejny miesiąc. W przypadku braku rezygnacji pakiet jest przedłużany automatycznie na kolejny 1 miesiąc. Powyższe zmiany mogą być dokonywane między 1. a 15. dniem miesiąca.”
• Po tej czynności i po zapłaceniu za pierwszy miesiąc (wraz z opłatą manipulacyjną podpinającą kartę w wysokości złotówki) wszystko jest gotowe 🙂 Dalsze instrukcje co do korzystania z pakietów zawarte są na stronie (na której jesteście zalogowani) oraz w pliku „Prezentacja_Medicover”. Możliwość korzystania z wykupionej karty rusza wraz z dniem 01.11.2024!
• Co, jeśli stracisz status doktoranta? Umowa zostanie rozwiązana – ot tyle. Nie przejdziesz weryfikacji statusu na poziomie Uniwersytetu, a tylko doktoranci mają prawo do pakietów (tak, Ci na przedłużeniu też 🙂).

Dear Doctoral Students!

We have something to boast about! As you may remember, over the past two years, the topic of sports cards has been recurring in our communication. You have been asking from time to time if and when this type of program would launch at the University of Wrocław, and in this regard, I have good news for you.

📣 It has just launched!

Background of the whole matter

In previous years, thanks to the initiative of former Doctoral Councils and their Chairpersons (in times almost prehistoric for us as students of the Doctoral School – i.e., in 2015), the then Rector, Prof. Marek Bojarski, and Rafał Mundry, the Chairman of the Doctoral Students’ Council, signed an agreement with OKSystem company for the sale of individual sports passes for doctoral students and their accompanying persons for an indefinite period. Unfortunately, the agreement was soon terminated by the selling company due to its liquidation and sale of that company and its acquisition by another entity.

From time to time, doctoral students reached out in various ways to the Doctoral Students’ Council with questions and requests to renew the possibility of purchasing sports cards. At the beginning of 2023, the Council under the leadership of Łukasz Rozwadowski began work on re-establishing such an agreement. This became my main and first serious task after joining the Doctoral Council, which I continued as the First Vice-Chairman in Ania Brzostowska’s Council. The past two years have been very intense – we spent them writing numerous letters, negotiating with companies providing sports passes, researching among doctoral students, discussions at Assemblies and during Council meetings, as well as raising this topic with His Magnificence Rector Prof. Robert Olkiewicz. The arguments we presented, namely the well-being of doctoral students, their requests, and the very low cost of implementing this program for the University of Wrocław compared to potential benefits, contributed to gaining His Magnificence’s support and entering the path of negotiating the terms of the final agreement, until finally it was signed by His Magnificence two weeks ago.

So why Medicover in particular?

We conducted a full market research, focusing on the two most popular offers: Multisport and Medicover. In short, Medicover offered a better, wider offer (more facilities in Wrocław and across Poland), more favorable pass prices, and the possibility of flexible choice among various packages. Moreover, the currently offered packages are much more attractive than, for example, gym memberships from the most popular, largest gym chains in Wrocław – student memberships that don’t include us cost 149 PLN per month – the same as our most expensive possible Medicover packages, let alone a regular membership priced at 360 PLN per month – prices as of 04.10.2024.

What to do step by step to register and use?

• Go to the website: https://medicoversport.pl/pakiety/uniwersytetwroclawski
• Enter the password: UniwersytetwroclawskiMS2024
• Click „Register” at the top right (yellow button).
• Important! Registration usually lasts until the 15th day of each preceding month – if you don’t manage to register, the next registration will be from the 1st day of the following month (November) until November 15, and then the membership starts in the following month (in this case: December).
• Choose the package that interests you and fill in all the boxes asking for data (IMPORTANT – the email used for registration must be a university email – in the @uwr.edu.pl domain – otherwise, there will be no possibility to verify the doctoral student status, and thus no possibility to purchase the package and participate in the subscription).
• If you plan to add an accompanying person (or a child), choose the package that interests them and fill in the section regarding their data.
• At the very bottom, there is a „Pay” button that will redirect you to the payment page – you pin your card there and thus start a monthly subscription (and thereby authorize Medicover to collect a specified amount each month). Quoting the website: „The minimum subscription period is 1 month. Cancellations and package changes can only be made in the 1st month of the subscription with effect for the next month. If there is no cancellation, the package is automatically extended for another 1 month. The above changes can be made between the 1st and 15th day of the month.”
• After this action and after paying for the first month (along with a one-zloty handling fee for attaching the card), everything is ready 🙂 Further instructions on how to use the packages are contained on the website (where you are logged in) and in the „Prezentacja_Medicover” file. The possibility of using the purchased card starts on 01.11.2024!
• What if you lose your doctoral student status? The agreement will be terminated – that’s all. You won’t pass the status verification at the University level, and only doctoral students have the right to packages (yes, those on extension too 🙂).
